This project was created in an attempt to clean up an area of isolated woods on a client's property.  Decades of neglect and poor management had left a forest floor riddled with down trees and half rotten logs.  The area in question was inaccessible to vehicles or other machinery so we decided to create a sculpture out of the detritus.

The holz hausen created has a twelve foot diameter and a height of nine feet.

 The forest now appears well managed and inviting, with a oddly compelling "destination".

Later in another area of the same propery, we redressed the issue in a homage to a Mr. Goldsworthy.
